Lets draw!

When kids first start to draw and color, they’ll typically start with crayons. Crayons are really important but there are so many more option to explore so don’t feel limited by crayons.

  • Markers- great for bold solid colors
  • Pastels- great for blending colors, personally, I prefer chalk pastels.
  • Colored pencils- great for shading with colors
  • Sketching Pencils-great for shading on grey scale

These are my go to drawing supplies. Let kids explore what each can do. Intro one at a time and then let them use multiple. Introducing kids to different art mediums allows them to explore their own creativity.  Don’t feel limited by crayons.

Most craft stores sell inexpensive sets of each of these mediums.
